Dining set of oak wood, 1/2 19th c.
GEMMA GUARCH Restoration.
Table-desk, Neoclassical style, 1st 1/2 19th c.
Solid walnut wood.
It arrives at the workshop with the tapaporos varnish damaged and stained, with the drawer guides worn and with xylophagus attack.
Disinfection treatment and prevention of xylophages had to be carried out. Disassemble the drawers to redo the guides for both the drawers and the furniture structure, pickling the tapaporos, plastering cork holes and other defects and varnishing with shellac "French style", an obvious change in appearance and the shine of wealth of the wood and the value of the furniture.

Rustic table with wings and 2 drawers in solid chestnut wood, late 17th c.
It arrives very dirty, with wings with open joints, and holes and inactive xylophagous galleries.
The 2 wings had to be disassembled, clean old glues, remove iron "staples", old wax stucco, reglue again, pick and polish with glass polish by hand, stucco with sawdust stucco and strong glue, with stucco in plaster and wax stucco. Varnished with shellac and finished with "munyeca" wax. The color is natural old wood.

Rustic table from Ibiza, 20th c.
GEMMA GUARCH Restoration.
Solid sabine wood. Varnish color "teka" damaged and dry. Instability due to 3 rotten legs and slight attack of xylophages.
First of all, the customers wanted to keep the "teka" color.
In the middle of the restoration they wanted it natural, good decision!
The 3 new legs have been redone with douglas pine wood (impossible to get enough sabine wood with the short time to restore), the aging process has been accelerated with different products to match the rest. Applied xylophage disinfection product, assembled and adjusted the new legs. All wood polished, cork holes and wood defects plastered. Varnished with satin water-based varnish and brushed with fine aluminum to soften the touch.
Disassembled and prepared for transport and subsequent assembly by making wooden skeletons to fix the legs protecting them during the trip. Marked different parts and made sketch and video for customers to assemble it. The last photo is ready at home.
